it's been a while....

So, I already failed at blogging....it's been over 2 months since I last did it! But I am back, at least for today.

So i am now 30......no longer in my 20's. so far, nothing has changed lol. I have decided I wanted to get in better shape....I asked for Shape Ups shoes for my bday (which Leith did get me), I am trying to watch my portions, eat healthier, stop boredom eating and try and get to aquafit when I can. I am also trying to cut out pop and juice and am currently drinking iced green tea - yum! We'll see how it goes, but I am hoping to make a few minor lifestyle changes that hopefully result in bigger changes.

We also move in a week and a half and have SO MUCH to do before then - it's a good thing that we don't have to have our stuff gone for a few days after that. We are also out of town this weekend for a hockey tournament - so there goes 3 days of packing. I am really looking forward to the move.....nicer neighbourhood for the kids, closer to grocery stores etc so maybe that will encourage me to walk there more frequently instead of drive.....it's going to be a busy couple of weeks though.

Winter hockey has wrapped up for Landon - but that just means we are busy now with spring hockey! He had native provincials last weekend, plus his first hockey game with the Wolverines and he was awesome....I am so proud of him!

MASSIVE vent

Warning now....if you don't want to read a bunch of bitching and complaining.....skip over this post.

ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our house sale fell through, AGAIN. This is the 3rd time now! Seriously, what did I do wrong to have karma kick me in the ass so many damn times. I REALLY thought that this time it would work out.....I can't stay in this house any longer....we have so totally outgrown it. We had an offer in on a house that I really liked....good location, type of house I wanted, I thought maybe it would FINALLY run smoothly, since it didn't before. Nope. Wrong. Back to square 1. No sale, no new house, no room, no space. I am SO upset. I am normally totally in agreement with everything happens for a reason....but really, what reason is there that I have had to watch my dream of a new house get smashed 3 times now.

I am fucking miserable.

Stupidly excited

The title of this post explains how I am feeling right now to a T. I am soooooo stupidly excited, because we just booked tickets to Ottawa for the beginning of March! eek!! I love that city. I lived there for a year and a half when I tried out university right after high school, made some incredible friends (most of which I have unfortunately lost contact with) and have vowed to go back there ever since I left in January 1999. FINALLY I am getting that chance! Granted it's a super quick trip (Monday through Thursday), and I am going to spend the vast majority of it with just the 3 kiddos, but I don't care! I am going back!!!! I already have my days quasi planned....wandering around Rideau Centre, walks up to parliament, Museum of Civilization......the list goes on and on!

I think the only thing that could make more more stupidly excited is hearing that the conditions have been waived and our house is sold, and my perfect house coming on the market. Maybe next week.....

Where to begin...

I don't really know how to start this....or if there needs to be a start. I've never blogged before and this doesn't really have a purpose - but maybe that's the point. It's already 1pm here and I am sitting here in a towel after my shower, enjoying the last few minutes of Teague's nap by typing this up. The house is quiet (which is kind of rare, even for a Monday seeing as normally Leith is typing away in his office with sportsnet playing on the TV) but Leith is out chaperoning day 1 of Landon's classes Ice School...a full week at Rexall place! Based on the bbmessages I keep getting, I don't know which is having more fun. How exciting for Landon though, a full week spent having his classes in the building he dreams about one day playing hockey in. I am so glad he gets this opportunity!!
Well, I should probably try and get dressed and be a bit productive before Teague wakes up, clean the house and prep for dinner and all that jazz...OH and I have decided that I am going to have a quick little side blog with all the new recipes I try....that way I have easy access to them and can remember what I thought of them. Will like to this once I figure out how.
